In the gold-plated version, the jewelry features a layer of gold plated over 925 sterling silver. The 14k gold jewelry, on the other hand, consists of approximately 60% pure 14k gold, with the remaining composition being a blend of silver and copper. For the 18k gold version, it contains 75% pure gold, and the gold-plated version is also plated over 925 sterling silver. Both earrings are waterproof.

Both earrings are highly resistant to mechanical damage. For the gold-plated version, however, it is recommended to avoid exposure to saltwater, while the solid gold version offers greater resilience in such conditions.
